Support » Plugin: AntiVirus » After (an official) theme update, plugin started notifying for virus

  • Resolved donangel

First of all – excellent working plugin (until like 3 days ago). Then I updated my Yoko theme to the newest one and it started issuing me virus warnings by e-mail, which look like that:

The daily antivirus scan of your blog suggests alarm.

Notify message by AntiVirus for WordPress

The first day (of course!) I panicked and went straight to the blog… no further details there, i.e. where to look for, which is the suspicious file, etc. If I force manual scan, no virus warning. It seems it “detects” the virus only for the daily scan.

Can you please help somehow? Where can I see more detailed log, i.e. which triggered the warning?

WordPress is last version, Yoko is also last version.

Thanks in advance and keep the good work!

  • Well, that’s embarassing :(. After I looking more in detail, I actually saw where the warning comes from (i.e., there was new “create_function” call in one of the new theme updates, which was considered a virus).

After I reviewed and approved it, it stopped complaining. However, maybe it’s worth checking why the report was issued and fix the plugin to take care for that (or is that expected functionality)?

Thanks again… and great work (once more).

    Best regards,
