Afer update: Bookings not counting, sold-out tickets available
-
WordPress: 6.9
PHP 8.3
Theme: Hello
EM: newest version
Since the last update, bookings are no longer being counted. As a result, events that are already fully booked are still available for booking.

I have the same Problem…
Hello Reiner,
have a look at this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/critical-after-update-bookings-not-counting/
Others find a solution in downgrading to the previous version.
Maybe thats a solution for you, too. I don’t know how to downgrade and where to find version 7.2.2.1, so for me it does not work. And – as mentioned in the linked topic above – you should open your own topic. (I did it just like you before…”same problem” – it was deleted.)Hi Ute,
Ich hab die Version aus meinem Backup wieder aufgespielt.
Jetzt klappt wieder alles.
Hallo Reiner,
hab ich dann auch so gemacht. Und es läuft erst einmal. Und die Formularfelder sind auch wieder da, die gefehlt haben. Puhhhh… 😉I have this same problem. Duplicated error with a test account on several events. I get the email saying booking is confirmed, but that email says “0 spaces reserved, 4 are still available”. Events dashboard also says 0 bookings, ditto bookings dashboard.
@strengesmaedchen downgrading is not a good solution! And its also not good that everyone with this common issue start their own threads.
@netweblogic any update on this please?

@amityweb Sorry, I just followed the advice (linked) given from @moderator.
Downgrading ( to version 7.2.2.1) may be not a good solution, but an interim solution for all those people with actual events that otherwise can be booked without limit. Until there is a better solution available. I hope, this will be soon.Having same issue, bookings are not counted! Is there any news when this (big disturbing) issue will be solved?
Thank you, issue solved with the latest update.
Yes, issue solved. Back to being one of my favorite plugins.
Sorry, but on my page it will happen again: Sold-out bookings are available.
But there is a difference:
Tickets counting on the booking main page and the first eventpage is marked as “sold out”.
But on the following pages it is like before: Tickets, that are “sold out” are available.
—
Back to 7.2.2.1 the tickets, that are sold out are no longer shown – as wanted.
The structure of the booking pages:
Date: December 24, 2025
Ticket a 8:00 AM, 2 available
Ticket b 8:15 AM, 2 available
Ticket c 8:30 AM, 2 available … and so on.
For subsequent days, December 25, December 26, …
Currently, in the new version, tickets booked twice are still shown as available. In the old version, tickets that were sold out were no longer displayed—and therefore could no longer be booked. Since the last update, the counters are now tracking the tickets, which is an improvement. However, hiding the unavailable tickets doesn’t (yet) work in the new version. And they can be overbooked.
THANK YOU for this complex and, so far, always well-functioning tool. It can’t be said often enough. Thank you!I still have the same issue on the latest version of the plugin.
I have an event with two types of tickets.
Each ticket has space for 10 people. When I look at reservations, ticket A has 9 seats reserved and ticket B has 3.
But when I look at the event, it says that 8 out of 10 seats are available for both tickets. This is the case in both the admin and the front end. So you can actually book more seats than are available for specific tickets.
7.2.3.1 does not solve the problem either. Only the rollback to 7.2.2.1 helped. This is now more than urgent.

Any news? We have the problem on all our customer sites. Regardless of theme or other plugins (they DO differ)
This is a big problem I am now seeing on two sites. There seems to be no response so if not solved soon we may have to move to another supported plugin which will be a lot of work and a great shame.
