AE affecting all pages

    Hi,
    I wanted a solution to show customised excerpts on my blog page.
    After installing AE the Blog page turns empty and all other pages are shrinked to excerpts, even if I tick the box next to Disable On Home Page, the Home Page is shrinked…
    I must admit that the Blog excerpt options (from WordPress, my theme and Elementor) could interact with each other and it gets really confusing now…
    Any help will be appreciated.

    In WP Admin > Settings > Excerpt, you’ll see an option called “Filter”. Try disabling/unchecking the checkbox for “the_content().

    I wanted a solution to show customised excerpts on my blog page.

    For a custom excerpt you can use the native WordPress excerpt functionality. When you go to edit a post, you’ll see a section called “Custom Excerpt”, whatever you write in there will show up as the excerpt ( assuming the theme is properly coded ).

    Hi,

    thank you for your quick reply.
    I unchecked the filter for “the_content” and all pages are displaying now.
    But the Blog page stays empty.
    See the Blog page with AE activated and with AE disabled.

    I’m really sorry for the delay. Usual answer time is within 24 hours on weekdays, but past couple days were a bit different than usual.

    That’s a regular page with blog posts listing powered by Elementor, correct? Which blog module is that, one of the default Elementor modules or is it an add-on?

    Hi WPKube,

    this page is indeed an Elementor powered page with the plugin Gold Addons for Elementor version 1.0.7 (GA) Blog.
