advise about WP Realty

    I need advise from you experts in WP re what has been happening to me. Last year I bought the WPR – Market Theme from WP Realty. I have no technical expertise and I struggled on for a few months trying to customize it myself. Towards the end of the year I found one day that my site had been hacked (the site is hosted with WP Realty). I emailed them asking what was going on. No reply. After a while, things had gone back to normal. Then I contacted them again to ask if they could carry out some customization for me, since I’ve basically got stuck. I have opened 2 different support tickets, one 7 days ago, and another one yesterday. No reply whatsoever… Is this normal? Does anybody know or can/is willing to give me some advice? Thanks. Adriana

    You mean http://wprealty.org/ ?

    They don’t claim to do any hosting there, but personally, I’d look for another host.

    Yes, that’s right. In fact, hosting was included in the purchase for the first year.
    However what worries me most is that I have had no replies from them at all… I can’t believe that a serious company would do that?!?

    That’s a little outside the scope of what support you get here (we don’t do hosting stuff, since it becomes a spamfest and a lot of he said/she said arguments).

    But. Yes, not all hosts are created equal, this totally happens.

    Ok I see that I have been totally misunderstood here. Possibly this is just not the right place, I agree. Hosting was the last thing I had on my mind, I really wanted to find out if anyone knew whether that is a serious company or not – I’m beginning to feel as if it is a “ghost” company…

    Same thing, really. WordPress questions yes, general web stuff no.

    You’re asking something outside the scope of the forums, and the best anyone who isn’t using them can say is “They look shady.” and “Yes, this happens, even with serious companies.”
