Advice on Correct Use of Multisite

  • We need to create individual ‘pages’ (hopefully using a custom template for non computer user to fill in standard content) with an easy to pass on url – for users to send others to donate to a non profit where the donation has to be tracked to the user.

The user will blog (some of them) and these blogs will be pulled into the main blog site via category on a news theme.

There will be hundreds of these ‘pages’ in time. Currently about 20-40 new per year.

Would it be best to use multisites – johnhenry.paws4people.org and use a shopping cart affiliate type software to track donations?

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

  • I think this would be a great use of WP Multisite! You could also process the donations via PayPal and then make a designation for each user. Then when the donations come in you can easily track who it came from.

I also have nonprofit experience so I was thinking of this just a little while ago..

Thanks Patrick! What do you mean by ‘designation for each user’ in paypal?
