I am considering moving my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. I have a few questions I could do with clearing up before hand though, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
I currently have the domain mapping upgrade on my wordpress.com site. The address that it points to is a subdomain on my main website. If I make the switch to a self-hosted wordpress.org account, do I just need to inform my registrar of a change to the DNS settings so that the custom domain remains the same? If so will this affect PageRank at all? In theory the incoming links should remain as I will still be using the same domain?
