 * Hi,
 * I’ve got wordpres version 2.6 I think – installed it about a 7/8 weeks ago.
 * The documentation I’ve found for upgrading to 2.7 is lacking in my opinion –
   for example, “retain files you’ve modified”. Talk about vague!!!
 * Also I’m a bit worried about breaking my theme, as well as how to revert the
   database back if the upgrade fails. I’ve had terrible experiences upgrading web
   apps before and would love a good guide for this one, otherwise quite frankly
   I’m not going to upgrade 🙂
 * And as a side note, is it really necessary to upgrade to 2.7?
 * Thanks 🙂
 * Jody

 * > “retain files you’ve modified”
 * that is fairly explanatory – don’t mess with files you changed or things will
   break. :>)
 * 2.7 is not a security release, but you will need to upgrade eventually

 * If you want a detailed, step-by-step example, then the videos at the link below
   may help. I use Cpanel in the demo, but the process is the same if you use FTP.
