Advantage of new install

    Hey all,
    I think I know the answer to this question already but I’m going to ask anyway.
    I have hosting through BlueVoda, and the 2.3.1 version of WordPress is offered in c-panel through Fantastico.
    Are there enough advantages to the newest version to justify upgrading,
    or would the older one be just fine for the average blogger?

    I’d read Installing WordPress and install WordPress 2.6.3 with those instructions. It’s safer to be on the latest version. Also AFTER WordPress 2.7 comes out, upgrades to subsequent versions, such as 2.7.1 will be quite easy and timely.

    Would it be better to just wait for 2.7(which comes out today 11/10/08
    I think)and install it?
    Also I think I read upgrades after that version will be much easier?

    The real 2.7 (not the beta/release candidate) won’t be out until later (next week or two). So wait if you’re inclined…
