My ultimate goal is to add a Japanese font “Noto Sans CJK JP”

I’ve followed the directions in the following thread:

I’ve managed to edit the PHP (using an .otf font file, which I’m also not sure if it’s okay to just change “.tff” to “.otc” and change “truetype” to “opentype”).

But when I go to the Google Fonts > Advanced tab, there is no field for me to enter the Google API Key. It’s just not there. Doesn’t exist?

Hi Kelly,
Have you tried checking if this problem occurs if you have another theme activated? it may be a plugin or theme conflict. I’d recommend trying the default theme and activating/deactivating the plugins on your site in order to track where the problem is coming from so that I can give you a hand with this. Cheers

I had the same problem. Found out there was a plug-in conflict with The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe (v4.1.0.1). Not sure why, but with this plug-in disabled the API box re-appeared.
