That’s why, by default, only editors and administrators can do this. We do know that there is an issue with the setting ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ causing issues with administrator access being able to see or note see the advanced tab in the Yoast SEO meta box. This is scheduled to be fixed in v14.2 of Yoast SEO for WordPress, which will come out next week.
