I cannot find the advanced settings for the meta robots anymore.
I have activate the Meta Box Yoast SEO for both article and pages but I cannot find anymore in the post editor (clear the Yoast SEO is checked there).

    What is going on?

    Thanks

    Hello @valentino86,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The ‘Advanced Settings’ can be found on the Advanced tab of the Yoast SEO metabox as referenced in this screenshot. If you are unable to locate it, kindly share an image of what you have in the Yoast meta box.

    Thanks.

Hi same here no more Advanced Tabs (I’m Admin)

    > here is what I have: https://i.postimg.cc/wTn2Tj6P/no-advanced.jpg

I noticed that the Advanced Tab is not display when using WordPress classic editor but it is displayed with Gutemberg…

I hope it just a display bug!

    Thanks

I had the same problem and then discovered that I had to enable the new ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ checkbox on the ‘General > Features’ page for the plugin.

    hi @codacoza

With Classic Editor and the “Security: no advanced settings for authors” set to off, my (Administrator and my Editors) do no see the advanced tab.

With Guntenberg Editor and the “Security: no advanced settings for authors” set to off, my (Administrator and my Editors) do see the advanced tab.

In all my 30 websites this settings has always been set to off because, I do not want Authors to be able to view it.

    Yoast say:
These are things you might not want any author to do. That’s why, by default, only editors and administrators can do this. Setting to “Off” allows all users to change these settings.

Okey, so why myself, as an administror role, and this settings set to Off I can’t see the advanced tab?

    As I said first:
    – Administrator and Editor role + classic editor and this settings to Off > no advanced tab avaiable
    – Administrator and Editor role + Gutemberg editor and this settings to Off > advanced tab is avaiable

    > It’s a bug… 😉

FYI with Yoast V14.0.4 and with this setting: https://i.postimg.cc/KzPzw1Ch/yoast-settings.jpg the Advanced Tab is available: https://i.postimg.cc/mkTDsbGz/yoast-advanced.jpg

I don’t when this bug was introduced with newer version but it was ok working nice with V14.0.4

Yoast Team, can u fix it please?

    Thanks

    Hello @valentino86 @pako69 @codacoza

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience or issues being caused by the plugin. We do know that there is an issue with the setting ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ causing issues with administrator access being able to see or note see the advanced tab in the Yoast SEO meta box. This is scheduled to be fixed in v14.2 of Yoast SEO for WordPress, which will come out next week. Could you please first update to 14.2 (once it releases) and see if this resolves the issue or if it still occurs?

    Hi
    Solved with 14.2
    Thanks

    Hello
