So I’ve got this cooking blog with my girlfriends and I’m looking to build an advanced search page (something like this: http://allrecipes.com/search/default.aspx?ms=1&origin=Recipe&qt=a).
I’m using the ‘custom post type UI’ plugin to create the taxonomies. I’ve been looking for a plugin that can use these taxonomies to create a custom search page, but no luck. And the ones that looked promising require coding (something like this http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/38361/advanced-search-form-with-filters-for-custom-taxonomies-and-custom-fields).. and honestly.. it’s just beyond my skill level.
I have very little coding experience. I know the basics of CSS and HTML, and I understand how PHP is structured and I can make minor adjustments. But that’s basically it.
So I’m looking for advice. How can I accomplish my goal?
