# advanced search functionality?

 * hi,
 * is there a possibility to have an advanced search functionality in wordpress?
   i am thinking of a search page allowing for a complex search with different criteria,
   i.e. a date range and author specification in combination with words from the
   title and/or the full text of the entry.
    probably one needs extra entries in
   the database; is there a plugin which does this? if not, do you know of any other
   opensource weblog/cms system with this feature?

 * Right now it only works if you have the Sidebar Widgets plugin installed. Contact

 * hey, lloks great at first sight! I am looking fr the same… but what made me originally
   search, is the wish/neccesity to search for categoryies and tag combinations 
   within search…
    … so any plugin doing this will be highly revered by me!

 * Hey Lester (GamerZ) – Im a big fan of your work, you have done some great plugins
   for WP! Did anyone contact you regarding the development of your advanced search,
   it looks great!!
 * This seems like such an obvious plug-in I’m suprised that I have not come across
   much that is any good so far as ‘advanced searches’ go – adding keywords to posts
   is not really an option for most clients.
