Advanced Older Posts Navigation – Showing Page Numbers

Hi,

I’ve noticed the following navigation style on a few blogs. Say it shows five posts on the front page, when you scroll to the bottom it will show links to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ect. Clicking on 2 takes you to the next five archived posts after the homepage.

My question, is there a plug-in which accomplishes this? Or is custom configuration of my template’s index file required?
