Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Advanced Free Shipping » Advanced free shipping not showing with Role-based method shipping

  • Hi there,

Since the last update of the plugin “Role-Based Payment / Shipping Methods” I can’t see my free shipping rate. Before that it was perfect, I was able to create a rate for a specific user role, like “professional customer” and then “call” it in the role-based method shipping. I know that AFS doesn’t integrate with WC Zones but It should appear in the check-out right ? It did in fact before the update 🙂
Concrete example :: I have one rate with one condition based on the user-role, in this case “professional customer” and it doesn’t show in check-out for these customers.

    Hope you can help !

    Hi,

It should indeed show up in the checkout/cart when the conditions have matched.
Did you setup any settings for the rate in the Role based method plugin? I’m not sure how those would work together..

Can you give it a try when you disable that plugin / when you try a simple condition to see if the rates show up?

Enabling the Shipping debug mode can also help while testing; http://jeroensormani.com/shipping-debug-mode

    Cheers,

Hi Jeroen, thanks for your answer !
In fact, when I disable the other plugin the rate shows up.
I sent a message to Woocommerce staff in the same time and here there anwser :
“I’m really sorry to hear of the troubles here. It sounds like when you updated to the most recent version of Role-Based Payment/Shipping, the code from your other plugin was no longer compatible and stopped working as it used to. Unfortunately, since WooCommerce Advanced Free Shipping is a third-party extension, it is outside the scope of our support policy.”

Hope you can still help !

    Hi Kevin,

I’d advise to try and configure the Role Based Plugin to not interfere with the AFS plugin; and then setup the user role based requirements in the AFS plugin instead.

I don’t specifically support that extension at this time so I won’t be able to go in and checkout what is going on and why it isn’t working.

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
