• Resolved presscode

    (@saschinger)

    Hi

I’m currently testing some popup/modal solutions and find the “Popup Trigger Button / Advanced Button Block” of Greenshift really nice.

The only thing missing is the ability for the visitor to close the modal by pressing the esc-button on his keyboard, or by clicking around the modal anywhere else on the screen.

I haven’t found any options for a “Close Modal” function, except for the “X” icon at the top-right-corner of the modal. For accessibility reasons, this is something which should be included, IMHO.

Any chance to provide a solution for this? I’d be happy to apply/deploy code via Code Snippet or into my child-theme, but cannot develop on my own.

Thank you in advance and kind regards,
    Sascha

Hey thanks, great that you’ve quickly added the possibility to close the modal by clicking elsewhere!

Now, the only thing missing is the ability for the visitor to close the modal by pressing the esc-button on his keyboard.

Is this something you can deploy as well for better accessibility?

We try to avoid such things because this can affect other scenarios related to keyboard pressing

Thanks for your reply. Well, all the other solutions I have tested provide closing of the modal by “esc” key, so I don’t really understand, what’s the issue here.
