• Hi,
I have a confusing situation which I’ve undoubtedly made more complex but I would appreciate any help in case i’m doing something stupid 🙂

On the 19th August WordPress updated itself to 4.3 and I got that WP_Widget depreciated error. Rummaged around in the plugins and found the culprit to be AdRotate and so deactivated it which killed all my AdSense adverts. I turned on “WP Advertise It”, stuck some code in there which works fine while I wait for AdRotate to sort itself out. AdSense adverts have been running fine for about a year. Accounts are in good standing – no errors or anything.

Come back after the weekend, re-enable AdRotate and there’s no errors but all my AdSense blocks are yellow – showing nothing. The WP Advertise It banner is still working. I disable AdRotate and put my scripts in as text boxes and it’s still yellow.

To compound the problem i’m also in the middle of moving to a new AdSense account and so before I re-enabled Adrotate and noticed the problem I had created some new adverts and added the domain as a non-hosted website to allow me to display ads from this new account. This may account for why the adsense boxes are yellow – but then why does the WP Advertise It banner work?

I’ve simplified the page so that now AdRotate is disabled. I’ve added two of my own adverts as text boxes (work fine), then a new AdSense from the new account (in order for Google to approve it) and then an AdSense box from my existing and previously working account under the Tags.

Does that make any sense? Are there any other things that need to be running for AdSense to work? I just added a cookie consent thing – no difference. It’s the same on IE, Chrome and Firefox.

    Here’s the site – http://www.surfaceproaudio.com

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Robin
