Thank you for that answer, but I don’t know much about plugins and there seemed to be a lot of different ones……which one would be best for me? I just want a simple Skyscraper ad on the side of the page with text ads…..any idea which one of those plugins I should use (to make it simple for a beginner?) Thanks so much……
I haven’t used any Adsense plugins myself, but look for one that has a comfortable balance between the star rating and the last time it was updated.

I downloaded Easy Adsense to my computer C: drive and I got these directions for installing it and I don’t understand this:
1.Upload the Easy AdSense plugin (the whole easy-adsenser folder) to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory.
How do I upload the program? and where do I find that wp directory? Thanks for your help. I am lost…..
That’s hard way. Let’s try the easy way first. Go to Plugins/Add New in your admin panel and search for “Easy Adsense”. Once you’ve found it, click “Install” on the right side.
Ok, I am really sorry….you have been so patient with me….I don’t know where to go to find Plugins/Add New nor do I see anything that says Admin…..I went to Dashboard and My Account and went through everything listed there but did not find Plugins…..I know it is right in front of me but cannot find it…..sorry for being so lame.
It should down the column on the left in your Dashboard, unless you have a wordpress.com blog.

My Account? Do you have a blog on the free wordpress.com? If so, then as far as I know you can’t have ads or install plugins.
Yes, I do have the free WordPress blog……what do I have to do in order to have ads? Is it one of the upgrades? If so, which one? Wow, this is more confusing than I thought……thanks!
