I’ve set up group ads on our web page and they appear when I am logged in as a user in WordPress, but I don’t see them when I’m just a web page visitor. These were placed over a week ago. At first they did appear, but now I see just am empty box. Please help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi cmcderm1,

    Thanks for reaching out.

There are several ad management plugins and also some script errors present while I checked back your page.

To not get confused ad making debugging easier, I recommend sticking to one ad integration solution and also trying to get rid of these script errors.

After that, please use a simple dummy or image ad to test if the ad placement by Advanced Ads is working as expected. If it is working, I suggest testing this with your script advertisements, like AdSense ads.

Please also see this general debugging checklist for ads not showing up.

If the issue persists, please provide additional information of your ad settings and the placement in use. Any additional tips on how to reproduce the behaviour are also very welcome.

    Best regards,
    Henning

    Hi Henning,

    Thanks for your quick reply!

What’s interesting is I can see the ads when I am logged in as an admin, but when I view the Advanced Ads in incognito I see the following error in my console:

advanced.min.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'privacy')
        at Object.get_state (advanced.min.js:1)
        at advanced.min.js:1

    Hi cmcderm1,

Thanks for confirming the different behaviour while logged in and visiting the page as a visitor. This indicated a problem with script optimizations and caching, since these services are generally disabled while browsing your site as a logged-in user.

In this section of the linked manual you’ll find additional information about JavaScript errors like these.

There is also a link to a guide for WP Rocket users included.

Please try the recommended settings and let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning
