Ads in feeds

    Hi Thomas

    I read the instructions for Ads in feeds, but i wasn’t clear whether enabling feeds in Settings > General was enough to make ads appear in feeds, or whether you also had to manually add the Feed condition for every ad?

    Hi bbozzo,

    thank you. No need to enable anything else.

    Ads are added to the content of posts in feeds when you are either using the content injection placements or place them manually.

    A word of warning: external ads won’t work, because the feed reader would probably not interpret them.

    Would you clarify what external ads are? Are they ads like Adsense that come from another site?

    Sorry I wasn’t clear about that.
    Yes, ads from networks like AdSense are “external”, meaning that the content in them is not hosted on your own site. Feed readers mostly ignore it and it can also be against the terms of the networks to even try.
