 * When I click on the link it brings up a screen that says I need Adobe Reader.

 * You’ll have to try a portfolio file in Google’s standalone viewer first to see
   if it’s supported:

 * If it doesn’t work there, it won’t work in GDE, either.

   X or Adobe Reader X, or later.”

 * This appears to be a “feature” of the portfolio format for readers that aren’t
   capable of opening portfolio PDFs. Since I’m seeing that directly on Google Viewer,
   it appears it (and therefore GDE) does not support this format of PDF at this
   time.
