    You’re trying to access these uri’s in your browser?
    That won’t work.
    Am I misunderstanding?

    I’ll try again, because I’m sure I’m the source of confusion. As an administrator, I’;m trying to access “wp-content/plugins” for instance. Trying to install a plug in. I get a 403 Forbidden prompt.

    This is in your ftp client?
    If so, contact your host and explain the problem.
