# Admins vs. members

 * Been setting up this product to replace another that didn’t meet our needs. It
   appears that WP Admin-level users are not automatically given permissions to 
   view restricted content — they must be explicitly added to a membership group,
   and that group must have access to the content.
 * Not a big deal, but to avoid having designers and devs show up in membership 
   lists, it requires creation of a special admin membership level, then specific
   inclusion of that level in all restricted content.
 * Seems like admins should automatically get access, and that would save some extra
   work.

 * Actually, we did this as a design choice. Everyone’s needs are different so it’s
   best to be able to test different membership levels and configurations as any
   WordPress user. Hope that makes sense!

 * Makes sense, it’s just a little more work to set up.
 * Also, as a future suggestion, you might consider an option to set default restrictions
   for any new content. (My client will be posting member-only blog entries, and
   they must remember to set every post as restricted — I’m betting they’ll forget
   about half the time.)
