    Hi there,

    > I could not locate a suitable answer, meaning that I have tried to create a new admin user, changed the password and the theme (which for the record is a PageBuilder child theme and does not have a my-account folder which would resolve the issue with its deletion).

WordPress has no auto change role for new users, so I am assuming that custom code is doing this.
Does their role literally change or is that they don’t see in the backend what an admin needs to see?

    Kind regards,

Hello and thank you for your swift response.

I actually just found out the plugin responsible for this which is the “Network Subsite User Registration” after its latest update indeed 2-3 days ago.

I have already notified the developer about this weird role-switching behaviour.

    Best regards.

Glad to hear you were able to narrow down what was causing the issue with the user roles! Hopefully the developers of the plugin are able to sort things out quickly.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. If you have any further questions, please start a new thread.

    Have a wonderful day!
