Support » Plugin: Remove Dashboard Access » Admins are redirected also?

  • Hi!

Love this plugin, thanks for creating it, it works like a charm!

there is one thing that I would like to change: when an admin logs in, he is redirected to the redirect page as well. This is a bit annoying 🙂 Can the redirect be excluded to roles that are disallowed, not all roles?

    Thanks in advance!
    Tom

P.S. a nice add-on would be to replace the WP logo and to allow removing the “forgot password” link. I can do it myself, but I suppose not everyone knows how to do these things, so that would be a nice idea 🙂

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the feedback. The admin shouldn’t be getting directed the same as everybody else. What permission setting do you have set?

    Hi Drew,

Thanks for responding. The permission is administrator. Perhaps something strange happens in combination with the Simple Membership plugin – not that it redirects from the backend as far as I could tell. But perhaps. Can’t check it, because this is on a live site and I can’t turn off that plugin because members are logged in all the time.

If you can’t find it in the plugin and it should not redirect, nor do you experience it yourself, then leave it. It then might be the plugin combination.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll see what I can find out about the Simple Membership plugin and get back to you if I find anything.

    Hi Drew,

Thanks! But remember it is a minor thing, so no big deal 🙂

    Best regards, Tom
