 * Although I set up this website and for some years have been administrator, now
   I am told that I don’t have permission to go to the link sent this morning from
   WP telling me the site has been updated to 4.1.1 or some such and asking me to
   review the changes. I also went through three change passwords to get to send
   this message.

 * where does it fail for you?
 * are you unable to access wp-admin or your install?
 * i was able to hit that page ok, but I did not try logging in
 * if the failure is in logging, or with the redirect post login please inform
