I’m trying to find a way so that when one of my guest bloggers has created a post and saved it as a draft (or post it) I am emailed and then have the option to approve or deny it. I found the gt-post-approval plugin, but all that does is force me to approve the post before it is live. I would also like to be emailed so I don’t have to check everyday whether or not they have created a post. Any ideas??

no, but when you do find out i’d love to know too. email or sms notification when a guest posts would be brilliant.

hey wolf, i haven’t been able to do heavy testing, but i think i may have found a solution.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/notify-on-draft-post/

i’ll try to get around to testing it and report back on here with my results

after a little trouble, the notify-on-draft-post works perfectly. it’s exactly what i was looking for.

the main thing you need to make sure is that the guest blogger’s role is “contributer”. the plugin will only show the moderate option if they are set to this.

    hope this helps
