 * Hi,
    We are using UM for a childcare centre. What we have started setting up
   is –
 * Parent registers with required info – no issues
 * We (as an administrator) view the newly created profile (without approving)

   We can view the profile but we can’t add any pictures or any activities We have
   to approve the account, log in as the parent and post to the wall, then we can
   add things to the profile. We would like to be able to view the new profile without
   approving it, add the cover picture and profile image and things to the activity/
   photos. And then approve the account so the parent receives the notification
   email and when they login they can see what we added and can respond/post as
   needed.
 * Is this possible with UM?
 * Thanks in advance
    Nik

 * Thanks for your response.
    I’m now confused though as what you’re saying isn’t
   very clear. I have read your link, do I need to rewrite the question? I didn’t
   realise my question was that abstract?
 * Thanks

 * Asking for answers to a myriad of issues is not the best way to get support.

 * It really was only one question. I just added more background which maybe wasn’t
   needed/helpful.
    Here is a simplified version –
 * We would like to be able to view a new profile without approving it, add the
   cover picture and profile image and things to the activity/photos. And then approve
   the account.
 * Is this possible?

 * > It really was only one question.
 * It doesn’t matter, but, no, it wasn’t just one question. You presented several
   operational inquiries and wrapped it all up with one question.
 * I only posted that link so that you don’t waste your time or wait for response
   aimlessly here.
    You seem to be condensing 4 operational questions in one now:
 * >  Is this possible?
 * The answer is YES.

 * This is turning into semantic battle over my question.
 * > 8.Try To Be Intelligible In Your Explanation:
 * I was simply adding context to my problem, if you read it again you will see
   there is only one question being asked.
    **Can I add a user’s photos/content/
   updates before approving?**
 * Can you offer any hints on how I can add this content before approving the account?

   At this stage, it doesn’t allow us to upload or add anything as an administrator.

 * I am glad you brought up #8 to the discussion. Also, didn’t I say “Yes” already?

 * You have to have a profile form with all the fields you want to edit set in place
   in the first place. You should also be able to upload avatar and cover pics regardless
   of the user account status (e.g. ‘Pending Review’).

 * The profile form/details aren’t an issue.
    I realised I hadn’t set the Community
   role for the admin. I did that and now I can add a cover picture and a profile
   picture to the users account, as well as post a comment on their wall.
 * When I try and add an image to the wall I get an Invalid nonce error.
    If I try
   and add an image to the photos sections there is no upload option. I hope these
   two things are related enough, if not I can ask in seperate threads.
 * Thanks

 * Your second issue:
 * > If I try and add an image to the photos sections there is no upload option.
 * Are you allowing your user role to see the upload field in the fields manager?
   Generally is everyone by default but maybe it was changed.

 * Honestly, I inherited this project and haven’t used UM much at all.
    I had no
   idea the Wall wasn’t a standard feature… I assumed that’s what Activity implied.
   Thankfully you are patient and caring support person to not get caught up in
   the detail.

 * I have set the filter to false which solved the nounce error.
    Obviously not
   a great solution for updates, can I set that to false in the functions.php easily?

 * Changes have to be in the same file. You may comment it out as demonstrated and
   that could prevent the changes from being undone, but that’s, as you know, a
   workaround not a permanent solution.

 * Do you mean when I update the changes won’t be overwritten if I comment out instead
   setting the filter to false?

 * No. It will only be easier to spot what needs to change.

 * Remember, only you can update UM and is not automatic…
