Adminer instead of phpMyAdmin

  • I am working with a localhost test setup of WordPress.

I am using WampServer is shipped with these applications :

    Apache
    MySQL
    PHP / phpMyAdmin

I am considering trying Adminer instead of phpMyAdmin

Adminer that is a full-featured MySQL management tool written in PHP. This plugin include this tool in WordPress.

Has anybody using WordPress and WampServer substituted Adminer instead of phpMyAdmin?

Does anybody know what files would need to be edited?

  • Hi, basically just download Adminer to c:\wamp\apps\adminer (rename the file from adminer-x.y.z.php to index.php) and copy c:\wamp\alias\phpmyadmin.conf to adminer.conf and update the paths.

Now, you can access adminer using the http://localhost/adminer URL and there is a link to it in your dashboard (http://localhost).
