Support » Fixing WordPress » Admin Widget area not working.

    Hello all,

I recently made a new video, to replace a video on my site. I went into the widget area. None of the widget drop down columns would work, nor would anything else on the entire page. (Drag n drop and settings).

I deactivated all the plugins, that didn’t fix the problem.

I then activated a new theme, it still didn’t do anything.

When I attempt to delete a plug-in via my admin page in wordpress, it sends me to a 404 page.

Since I switched themes to check if the theme was the problem, I switched back and all my plugins were not on the right hand side under the columns they use to be. I put my site into maintenance mode for now since I cant drag the plugins back into place.

I’m using the latest version of wordpress, I have freshly installed it aswell.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Have you tried activating the Twenty Eleven theme to see if the backend jQuery is working in your widgets menu?

Yeah, I actually figured it out right after this post. I recently added https , which caused the widget area to be unresponsive for some reason…..
