[Resolved] Admin url redirect

  • I recently installed a plugin to customize my login page in WordPress.
However, in doing so I ended up redirecting the my wp-admin page to my website’s homepage. So I can’t access the login page anymore.

*I used FTP and deleted the plugin but still redirect persist….
This is beyond my knowledge and its out of control….

How do can I get to reset this?

    Can someone help?

  • Using FTP, check that it hasn’t added anything into your .htaccess file. This will be a hidden file in the root folder of your website. In a default install of WordPress, the .htaccess file should look similar to the following…
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Creating_and_editing_.28.htaccess.29

If you’re not sure what to edit/remove in this file, then simply rename it and you should then be able to log back into your dashboard. Once you’ve logged back in, go to the SETTINGS > PERMALINKS page and resave your permalinks. This will create a new .htaccess file for you.

    Live saver!!!
    thanks all sorted.

    Great to hear! 🙂
