# Admin URL not working

 * Can someone PLEASE help me!!
 * Step-by-setp background info:
 *  – I registered my domain name with myhosting.com
    – I set up my hosting with
   hostgator.com – I want to link my domain to my webhost via wordpress installation.–
   I went through cpanel and used “fantastico” to install wordpress to my domain.–
   The installaion is always successful,
 * ***HOWEVER***
 * When I try to go in to the Admin URL: [http://domain.com/wp-admin/](http://domain.com/wp-admin/)
 * The following error message appears:
 * Oops! This page appears to be missing.
    HTTP 404 – File not found.
 * What am I doing wrong?
    PLEASE HELP.

 * Please provide your domain name. Have you changed DNS for your domain name to
   hostgator’s?

 * I am also seeing this error message coming up:
    This is your temporary index.
   html file. Replace this with your own index.html file.
 * To answer your question, NO I have not changed DNS for my domain name to hostgators.
   Don’t even know how to begin doing this. I am only very new to this.
 * Any help you can give will be very much appreciated.

 * Log in via FTP and check where the heck your WP files are, cause they are missing.
   Are you sure they’re not in a subfolder?
