    Admin Dashboard javascript conflict?

I’m stuck with a weird problem where the “hover” isn’t added to the admin toolbar.

    Expected:
    menupop hover

    Currently:
    menupop (hover isn’t added)

The same goes for the side menu where the usual child menu isn’t showing on mouse hover.

This happened right after updating to 5.3.

I’ve deactivated all plugins, switched the theme to Twenty Twenty, cleared browser cache and logged in again, and re-installed the previous version of WordPress (via FTP) and then re-installed 5.3 without any success.

Any idea how do I solve this?

  • Hi There!

Can you please open the browser’s console and see if there’s any errors that show up there?

    Thanks

I’ve found the culprit. Nothing to do with WordPress at all.

It’s some Chrome extension that I had accidentally activated on the site.

Thanks so much for helping with the suggestions! đŸ™‚

    Resolved.
