Admin site completely blank though site loads fine

  • I’m using 2.9.2
Yesterday, my admin site stopped loading and now just shows a blank page (and bottom of window says “done”), however, the home site loads and works fine.
After searching the forums, I first tried renaming the plugins folder in FTP(which from what I read, disables all the plugins??) but that didn’t change anything. So then I just removed the plugins file completely, but again, no change. I’m not very tech savvy and have no clue at this point what to do next. Please Help!

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – upgrade your wordpress version to the latest one.
    – check with default them to ruled out theme level issue.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

    Hi Shane,
    Thanks for your response.
    1. I thought 2.9.2 was the latest version?
    2. I unfortunately cannot get to any part of the admin page (it’s all completely blank), so I’m unable (as far as I know) to change it to the default theme.
    Any other suggestions?
    Jarod

I am having the exact same problem–my site loads up fine but my admin page is blank. This happened after I uploaded a plugin–I have read to de-activate the plugins–but am not sure how to do that if I can’t get into my admin site. So fustrating!
