Title: Admin Problem Last modified: August 20, 2016 --- # Admin Problem * [MartinM_29](https://wordpress.org/support/users/martinm_29/) * (@martinm_29) * [14 years, 11 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/admin-problem-3/) * In one of my plugins I am trying to update variables, and receive the following error message: * Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /wp/wp-admin/admin.php on this server. * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. * Can anyone tell me how to gain the required permissions? I am obviousley signed in as administrator in order to see my dashboard. Many of your problems may actually be caused _from_ the fact that you haven’t upgraded. * Either way, that plugin’s not been upgraded for 5 major releases of WP, so it’s very possible that it no longer works. The plugin is easy to blame, but if it works with the default themes then it is likely the paid theme is handling things differently, and I consider it reasonable to expect their support crew would at least be interested in resolving any conflict. * Elegant Themes are supposedly professional and their products look great, but I repeat, their support is rubbish.
