I have requested a new one and get an error “The email could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.” I have contacted AWS (Hosting site) and e-mailed back and forth with Jetpack and WordPress.com. They sent me to the foruims for help. I am NOT a programmer; I caanot edit SQL, and the things I find on Google start with logging in to wp- login.php – which is what I cannot do. Does anyone have a simple step by step process this idiot can follow to get back into my blog, or do I need to dump it and find another software I can figure out how to use? Amazon’s solution is to sign up for a support package since they have no idea what is going on and would have to research. Is WordPress really supposed to be this difficult, or is it that I am using AWS as a host? * I am also confused about your statement that “this plugin has nothing to do with your Admin password.” I can’t log into the back office on my WordPress and edit my blog – and as near as I can tell there is a second level password and username needed to do so, that I cannot reset the password for and that will not accept the password I recorded and have used before. I can log into the stats, but I can’t edit or post. Once that function is enabled, you will be able to send reset password link from the login page. I believe only the hosting provider or sys admin that has root access that able do it.
