• Please, need help!

After updating to 3.9 all my admin panels froze. I cant move them around, I cant expand menus, and my visual editor doesn’t work.

I reinstalled wordpress last night. That fixed it and I started rebuilding. This AM everything is frozen again.

No plug-ins or themes were installed.

I’m pretty amateur, so please help me out!

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Okay, I’ll give it a shot. Gotta figure out this Filezilla thing first.

    1. Nope, front end went blank and admin still frozen

    2. Is this relevant since I haven’t installed any plug ins?

    Now working on 3 & 4…

    2. Tried your second suggestion anyway. Didn’t work.

I haven’t tried the last 2, but I should point out that the issues persist on my other blogs as well.

    Same issues on 2 others.
