Support » Installing WordPress » Admin Panel not presenting correctly

  • Resolved blmchen

Hi, I uploaded everything successfully but the Admin Panel is not presenting correctly. What I see are a few hundred lines like this:

    ; } /** * Retrieve number of recent posts. * * @since 1.0.0 * @uses $wpdb * * @param int $num Optional, default is 10. Number of posts to get. * @return array List of posts. */ ………

I cannot see where there is the bug neither that anyone else here had ever done the same. I would appreciated anyone’s help with instructions how to proceed for someone stupid like my. Sorry of spoiling the average of the 5 minutes of installation time and thanks a lot for your support.

  • I’d consider downloading a fresh copy of WordPress from the Download tab at the top of this page, then use something like 7-Zip to extract the files. Then reupload the files to your host. Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host and make sure you are using ASCII transfer mode in your FTP client.

Thanks Michael, that did the tric. I uploaded with FileZilla which had been put on automatic before, whatever that means. Maybe it was something else? It looks really good now.
    I appreciate your support!
