# Admin panel has no java

 * Hey guys, I’m new here, so correct me if I’m wrong, okay…
 * I am building a wordpress site for my college department symposium and the install
   goes on fine. But the admin panel doen’t have any drop-down menus and widget 
   drag-drop won’t work! I am using wordpress.com for my blog and i have tried tried
   to run a version of the college’s site locally on my mac. And yes, it works perfectly
   on my mac. Then why not on my remote host?
    Could it be a permissions problem?
   And btw, **I used fantastico provided on cPANEL as well**, but nothing seems 
   to correct the error!
 * HELP ME OUT HERE!

 * Have you tried:
 * – checking through [Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-31-master-list)
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.

 * Could something be blocking javascript at your end?
