• I haven’t actually logged in to post since my last post on June 5th. Everything was fine then. Apparently there was a WordPress update on the 8th? Now I can’t log in to my blog.

It says “Oops that page isn’t found.” There’s no admin or dashboard at all.

    Any ideas?

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If neither of those make any difference, try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

I don’t have access to a hosting control panel. I’ll see what my website provider can do, but they didn’t have any issues on their end.

They said it looks like I’ve been locked out because of too many password attempts. But my password was correct. It’s not letting me sign in. I’ve tried making a new password, waiting until the 4 hour lockout is done…very frustrating.

WordPress itself doesn’t lock you out for failed attempts, that’s a plugin doing that, so you will need to get access to either FTP or phpMyAdmin to reset your plugins as directed above.

Your hosting provider will be able to help you setup FTP access on your hosting account or use phpMyAdmin.
