• When I log into godaddy and go to my applications where I get into my wordpress admin, I get the message on the link above…Oops! That page can’t be found. I have now lost access to my page. I also don’t remember ever setting up a username or password for the wordpress app prior to building my site or anytime during so I don’t have that information either. Godaddy support is telling me to use a different application because wordpress isn’t good. I have spent a month getting the site right and I really don’t want to start over. I’d appreciate any help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Your login is http://example.com/wp-admin. Do you have problems accessing your site from there?

I see the normal wp login at https://www.peticularpet.com/wp-login.php

When I use that, it gives me the log in page for word press and I swear I didn’t have to register that information in order to start building my site. None of my email addresses are recognized.

    Hello!

First of all I am so sorry someone recommended you find another application, WordPress is awesome!

Do you know if you are using the GoDaddy cPanel hosting or our Managed WordPress?

If you are using cPanel and used the auto installer for WordPress the system cPanel uses is Installatron and it holds the original URL you did the install on and it does not automatically update if you make changes to your WordPress URL.

Try updating this URL in your cPanel accessed through GoDaddy account. Once in cPanel go to:

    >Installatron Application
    >Click the wrench icon or edit
    >Click the ‘Files and Tables’ tab
    >Remove the www from the ‘Location URL’
    >Dont make any other changes and hit ‘Save All’

The link to WordPress you normally use should now work.

So that didn’t work but you got me into the place where I need to set my password and I could see the username that was already there. So because of you I was able to solve the problem. Thanks for that! However now I have a new problem in that I filled out all of the information and now have a website name and tagline that I don’t want showing on my website. Any idea how to get rid of those? When I delete them it gives me a message that I have to put something in there.

Please start a new topic for this. Thanks.

Since you have an SSL on the site your Location URL should be https://peticularpet.com and that will fix the linking issue in cPanel.
