Admin only role that can access Dashboard

Hello,

The Admin role is the only user role that can access the Dashboard. Even if I duplicate the Admin role and call it something else, the duplicated role (with all the same capabilities and permissions as Admin) cannot see the dashboard when logged into their wp-admin account.

Any idea whhy access to the dashboard will only show up for Admin?
