    Hello,

I see this message in my pages and even if i set a description doesnt show it.

The message is ” Admin only notice: this page does not show a meta description because it does not have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the [SEO – Search Appearance] menu and set up a template.”

    Best regards

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v12.4? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-premium-plugin/

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.2.4? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

    Hi,

If you added a custom meta description on your posts or pages we would expect it be outputted. We would like some more information.

    1. Does clearing your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare or browser resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear caching from theme/plugin please speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

If clearing the cache does not work and all your non-Yoast plugins are updated, that sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. We ask that you please Check for conflicts.

If you find there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Hello,

I have cleared cache and theme-yoast are up to date.

    What else should i check?

    Best regards

If you are still not seeing a meta description being output after ensuring that the plugins and theme are up to date, we would next recommend performing a conflict check to determine whether another plugin or theme is interfering with the Yoast plugin. We have a guide on performing a conflict check here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

    Hello @devnihil
Still i cant find the problem.
    Also it still shows this:
<!– Admin only notice: this page does not show a meta description because it does not have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the [SEO – Search Appearance] menu and set up a template. –>

But i have set a description in the page.

    What else should i check?

    Best regards
