Support » Plugin: Five Star Restaurant Reservations - WordPress Booking Plugin » Admin not receiving notification emails

  • The plug-in has stopped sending notifications of bookings to the admin. The clients booking receive confirmation but the admin doesn`t receive the notification via email. All the bookings are there in the back end. The plug-in has worked well for a while until a few weeks ago. Additionally it seems that occasionally a notifcation will come through. I have been in touch with the hosts regarding this as recommended on your FAQ and they responded with the following :

“Would you be able to explain how exactly the plugin is sending the emails? Is it using SMTP? If, yes can we verify what are the exact settings that it uses?
I was not able to find any emails sent from the site and in particular, from the email test@cyprusmangal.co.uk. Yes, the mailbox is okay and sends/receives okay. But we will need to know how the plugin is sending the emails? Via php() mail function or via SMTP and where can we see the exact settings. ”

I would also like to add that the issue is the same using the site`s domain email as well as gmail.

    Hi,

So, it was sending before the recent update? There should have been nothing changed at all in 2.0.11 that could possibly have an effect on the admin notifications. Could you please try rolling back to a previous version and letting me know if and when it starts working again? I.e. you can roll back to 2.0.10, and, if that doesn’t work, 2.0.9, etc. You can do this either manually by downloading a previous version of the plugin (all available here) or using a plugin like WP Rollback.
