• When activating Admin Menu Organizer and re-ordering items, a backslash is shown before any special characters.

    For example:

    Pagina’s (Pages is Dutch) is shown as Pagina\’s after re-arranging in the dashboard (and in Admin Menu).

    @mreekmans thank you for reporting this. However, I’m not able to replicate the issue on my test site. Please see this screenshot for reference: https://www.imagebam.com/view/ME12KHGU

    I wonder how I can replicate the issue you are seeing. Is that special character a simple single quote character? –> ‘

    Or, is it something else?

    When I disable ASE, it is shown as Pagina’s again. When I re-enable ASE the issue returns.

    This is the default WP (ASE disabled): Pagina’sIt looks like a single quote.
    Here’s an exact copy from the html (ASE enabled): Pagina\’s
    This is the default WP (ASE disabled): Pagina’s
    Which is a slightly different symbol

    Maybe it’s a (plugin) translation issue?
    To be exact, I’m using Belgian Dutch: nl_BE, not nl_NL

    @bowo, a few additions:

    • I’m using the free version of ASE.
    • I didn’t have this issue in older versions of ASE (where there wasn’t a separate menu for Admin Menu)
    • I only have the issue on the two most recent new sites I set up. I can’t reproduce the issue on existing sites (that were updated to the latest ASE)

    @mreekmans thank you for the additional information. I don’t think it’s a translation-related issue. This is a bit of mystery as we’re not able to reliably reproduce this issue. I wonder what could be different in your two most recent new sites (compared to your other sites)?… for now, I’ll mark this as a ‘mystery’ and will wait to see if there are other users experiencing a similar issue.
