Admin menu options visible to authors?

I have some users set up as authors. Only the admins can see the import Facebook menu option in the admin. In other cases, I am able to use “User Role Editor” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/) to adjust the what’s visible.

Can you adjust your plug in so that it will work with user roles?
