Admin menu icons have disappeared

    While working on a site earlier, all icons for the default wp-admin menu items disappeared, though I don’t believe it was related to anything I was doing (simply updating a page). This was after updating to 3.1.1, but not immediately after, and I have no plugins that affect the backend of the site in any way. Performed an automatic re-install of 3.1.1, no change. Icons for menu items added by plugins (i.e. cforms) have remained.

    Any ideas?

    I’d recommend switching to the TwentyTen theme and deactivating all plugins by renaming your plugins folder via FTP. Let me know if that works.

    Interestingly enough, the icons show up on both Safari and Firefox on my mac. I tried updating a page without making any changes and was not able to replicate the issue.

    Does this occur in more than one browser?

    Admittedly, I didn’t check in other browsers before I posted this, because the first thing I did was reset Safari and empty the cache. It does appear fine in Firefox for me as well, though I still can’t get it to work in Safari, but that’s my own problem. I apologize for taking up your time with this — thank you very much for looking into it.
