[Admin Management Xtended] Post order

I’m trying to order posts in other than the default order and came across the Admin Management Xtended plugin. I’ve searched on how to get it working and found a reference to this page, but trying to implement the ideas there along with the post numbering in the plugin resulted in no change in post order.

Any help would be appreciated.
