# Admin Lock Out

 * I am having a security issue on the WP.org site. I have two admin (myself and
   I other) and we both were locked out of the admin view at same time. Our passwords
   both did not work. We both were also unable to request a new password… it would
   show us the screen, we would do the request, but never got the reset. I have 
   done numerous HTML type security scans and they all come back clean. the website
   [http://westonranchcommunityassociation.com](http://westonranchcommunityassociation.com)
   just recently changed from wp.com to wp.org. (still shows the [http://69.89.31.192/~westonr2/wp](http://69.89.31.192/~westonr2/wp)
   even though I changed nameservers recetly). I was asked to reset my password 
   in this WP.ORG forums, got the email, and it allowed me to enter the forum, but
   still not the wp.org website. Novice here. I contacted host (bluehost) to see
   if they can help. Any suggestions? Recently changed a SEO plugin to add social
   media (FB)

 * That’s not good but it doesn’t sound like you have a security problem just an
   access one.

 * Personally I am really found of this method myself. Make sure you backup any 
   files before you edit them.

 * That’s because the user ID and passwords here have nothing to do with anywhere
   else. Including your self-hosted WordPress installation. They’re not connected
   so resetting the password here can’t help you on your installation.
