  • There’s nothing wrong with that redirect url. Whatever the problem it’s in your site. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

If I can’t get into my admin dashboard how can I disable plugins?

I haven’t downloaded any new plugins today, and the admin page has come up fine until 20 minutes ago, and no changes were made.

Sorry – I thought you still had admin access. Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

I have tried all this here are my symptoms after trying.

I renamed the plugins folder via FTP to Plugins.hold after doing that, when trying to reach my admin page, I could get to login screen however it doesn’t accept my login. Before I would just get redirected back to my home page and a redirect URL would show. Also my site is blank when you try to visit it after changing the name of the plugins folder, but I knew that would happen.

I can get to http://www.averageguygolf.com/wp-login.php but again I can’t login. The only plugin or change i made to the site yesterday was meteor slides. I am not sure what is goign on, I have reuploaded all the files except for the wp-content file and the same thing happens with any theme.

    Any ideas?

Did you switch to the Twenty Eleven theme?.
